Nepali 'suspected of torture' arrested in UK

KATHMANDU, Jan 3: UK Metropolitan Police officers arrested a Nepali on suspicion of torture committed during the civil war in Nepal in 2005, BBC reported.



The 46-year-old man, name not disclosed, was arrested in St Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex, on Thursday, the site adds. [break]



According to BBC, the Met is the UK force responsible for investigating people accused of war crimes or human rights abuses.
