The body of Prem Dhaba, 30, was spotted by two men residing in the apartment complex early morning and informed police. He was not working in the apartment and lived in other area.
Although preliminary investigation suggested at suicide, police have not ruled out murder, News Today website said.
The body was sent to Government Royapettah Hospital for postmortem. Prem had gone to the city a year ago and was reportedly alcoholic.
Meanwhile, the security guard at the apartment said that he had not seen any stranger entering into the complex. The people residing in the apartment complex too had not seen Prem before.
The body of the deceased would be handed over to his relatives for last rites after postmortem was done, police said. The victim is survived by a wife and five children.
