During the last day of the match palyed in 30 minutes format, Nepal 2 defeated Bhutan 2, 3-0, and Sri Lanka 2, 4-0, respectively.[break]
Nepal 1 was held to a goalless draw by India 1 in its first match of the day and in another match Nepal 1 thumped Bhutan 1, 6-0.
In other matches, Bangladesh 1 defeated India 1, 1-0, and Bangladesh 1 was held to a goalless draw by Bhutan 1. India 1 defeated Sri Lanka 1, 1-0 and Bangladesh 2 defeated Sri Lanak 2, 4-0. Similarly, Sri Lanka 1 edged past Bhutan 2, 3-0.
On Saturday, Nepal 2 had defeated Bangladesh 2, 2-1. Similarly, Nepal 1 had played a goalless draw against Bangladesh 1 and thrashed Sri Lanka 1, 5-0. Five South Asian countries including India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan and host Nepal have participated in the festival. However, the festival of football is not a competition for the title. The event which began in 2004 as competitive tournament, has been observed as festival after few editions.
The festival is now mainly seen as a training ground for players as well as referees, coaches and technical staff. A training opportunity for physiotherapists has been added from the current edition.
A skill testing program will be conducted on Monday in which players´ will be tested for accuracy, dribbling and passes. The 60 minutes format matches will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday.
