Nepal rocked 204 times since April 25, killing over 8,000

KATHMANDU, May 13: As many as 204 jolts above 4 on the Richter scale have rocked Nepal so far since April 25, killing over 8,000 people.

According to National Seismological Center, Lainchaur, thirty-seven tremors have been felt since the second biggest 6.8-magnitude quake that struck at 12:54 pm on Tuesday. Immediately the major earthquake was followed by another massive jolt measuring 6.2 magnitude.


Other 35 jolts were measured below 6 on the Richter scale since then, with the latest one at 12:38 pm today measuring 5.1 magnitude.

According to Home Ministry 65 people were killed while over 2,000 people have been injured in the yesterday's earthquake alone. Dolakha is the hardest hit district where 36 people have been killed.
