On Thursday, Nischal scored a half-century and took five wickets in Nepal´s 85-run win over Bahrain. At IOE Ground, Malaysia beat Saudi Arabia by six wickets while Singapore outplayed Thailand for a 175-run win at TU Ground.[break]
Winning the toss, Nepal elected to bat first. With Nischal scoring 74, Nepal raced to 206/7 in 40 overs. Hari Chaulagain contributed with unbeaten 27 while opening partner Sharad Khadka got 26 runs.
For Bahrain, Lalith Lal and Nikhil Bolar each took two wickets.
While replying, Bahrain lost two wickets in first over bowled by Hari. Nischal was introduced little late but when he came, wickets fall around him.
He bowled eight overs giving away 28 runs and taking five wickets. Sharad Khadka and Rajiv Shah also grabbed a wicket each.
