Stevens and three other embassy staffers were killed by an armed Islamist mob that stormed and set the consulate building on fire on September 12.

"While offering heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and the Government of the United States of America, the Government of Nepal condemns the heinous and dastardly crime committed by the terrorists in Benghazi yesterday [Wednesday]," said the MoFA statement.
