Nepal (Blue) out of Prime Minister's Cup

KATHMANDU, March 10: JW team of Thailand and the Sri Lankan national side played a goalless draw to end Nepal (Blue)´s slim chance of advancing to the semifinals of the Prime Minister´s Cup being played at the Dasharath Stadium in Kathmandu. [break]



The Sri Lankan players had nothing to lose in the match as they were already through to the last four. The team even fielded its second best set of players to give them match practice. JW team of Thailand also qualified for the semifinals as group runner-up. Nepal (Blue) is out of the tournament with a loss against Sri Lanka and a draw against JW.



The Group B match between Nepal(Red) and Pakistan has been postponed until Thursday because of the Holi festival. Aram Bagh leads group B with two points while Nepal (Red) and Pakistan have a point each.
