NC urges tarai parties to find resolution from house

KATHMANDU, Nov 7: Nepali Congress has urged the agitating parties to put their demands in the parliament for the resolution after giving up protest programs. The party has concluded that all kinds of resolutions should be sought in the parliament and such efforts would be responsible to people and the nation.

The parties should make consensus for amending the constitution to address the right demands of Madhes. Acting president of the Nepali Congress Ram Chandra Poudel issued an appeal Saturday and stated that the party was ready to address the tarai problems from the parliament.


He added that the party has decided to initiate for the amendment of the constitution in the upcoming parliament meeting. The appeal paper further reads that the ongoing tarai protests have not only affected the normal life in tarai itself, but hit the entire nation.

The party reminds that the amendment proposal was registered in the house to amend the provision of the constitution for allocating the constituencies on the issues of inclusiveness, proportional representatives and population. RSS
