“We will appeal Maoists to end parliament disruption and continue efforts to reach consensus,” Ram Chandra Poudel, NC’s vice-president, said after the meeting at UML’s office in Balkhu.[break]
The meeting was held to analyze the progress made in the discussions with Maoists and analyze Maoists’ new proposal to deal in package including change in government.
“Maoists are warning us of movement, if they want it, they can but it’s not possible to reach consensus amidst such warnings,” Ishwar Pokharel, UML’s general secretary said.
Meanwhile, the two main parties of ruling coalition have called a meeting of leaders of parties in the government on Monday evening.
The top leaders of the three main parties – NC, UML and Maoists – are possibly meeting on Tuesday for further discussion.
