NC regional committee against Shrestha's candidacy

SYNGJA, Sept 27: The Nepali Congress(NC) Constituency Number 2 Regional Committee has expressed objection over the recommendation made by the party´s parliamentary committee to include central member Gopal Man Shrestha as a candidate for the upcoming CA elections from constituency no. 2 of the district.



NC central member Shrestha was not part of the list of candidates nominated by the Regional Committee for Constituency 2. [break]



Issuing a statement here, NC Constituency No.2 Chairperson Kedar Kafley has said that the effort of the parliamentary committee is an intervention over the party cadres and would ultimately invite huge to the party as a whole.



However, NC Syangja Chair Kamal Pangeni said that he had no official information about Shrestha´s name added to Constituency No. 2 as well.



Shrestha has been recommended for Constituency No. 1, he added.
