KATHMANDU, Dec 26: Nepali Congress (NC) leader and former minister Pradeep Paudel has announced that he will be a candidate for the position of General Secretary in the party's 15th General Convention.

Talking to journalists on Thursday, he informed that although he had competed for the General Secretary position in the party's 14th General Convention, he was not successful and formally announced that he will compete for the General Secretary position in the 15th General Convention.
On the occasion, leader Paudel stated that the party's 15th General Convention must be completed before the NC can proceed to the upcoming general election on 5 March under new leadership.
