NC does not wish to hang on power: General Secretary Singh

KATHMANDU, Oct 19: General Secretary of the Nepali Congress, Prakashman Singh, has said that his party does not wish to hang on power.

General Secretary Singh said so today while addressing a program organized to handover a Ganeshman Memorial Building to Gokarna Secondary School constructed on the occasion of birth centenary of late Ganeshman Singh.


He said, "Risky decision could also be taken in politics as per the time. The candidacy of NC President Sushil Koirala was filed to the post of the Prime Minister as per the central committee decision."

The NC General Secretary stressed the need of holding local body and parliamentary election after formulating law as per the new constitution.

Similarly, lawmaker and NC central committee member Ambika Basnet said that the government should improve the quality of community schools while another lawmaker Deepak Prasad Kuinkel stressed the need of stopping anomalies seen in education sector. RSS
