Altogether 6 candidates -- Ram Nath Mainali, Prem Bahadur Khadka, Matrika Prasad Niraula, Hari Krishana Karki, Ram Kumar Yadav and Madanmohan Chaudhary -- will vie for the post of NBA president. Four lawyers -- Jaya Kumar Goit, Sitaram Rai, Rajendra Prasad Bhattarai and Sureshlal Shrestha -- have filed candidacy for the post of NBA vice-president for the eastern region.
Similarly, lawyers Sitaram Agrawal, Surendra Kumar Mahato, Ishwari Dahal and Gita Pathak Sangraula will be contesting for central region. Sudarshan Panta, Gopal Prasad Pandey, Hari Prasad Sharma and Salikram Sapkota will be in the race for western region. Lawyers Gokarna Dangi and Dhruba Prasad Basyal have filed their candidacy for the post for mid-western region, whereas Ram Bahadur KC, Joharilal Chaudhary and Dayakrishna Panta will contest for far-western region.
Likewise, lawyers Shyamji Pradhan, Bijaya Prasad Mishra, Sushma Baskota Baral and Hari Phuyal will vie for the post of NBA general secretary.
