The Naya Shakti has also made it clear that it will not accept donations from foreigners, incumbent civil servants and staffers of the institutions which are dependent on government grants or have 51 percent of shares of the government. The Bhattarai-led force has stated that it will also not accept donations from black-listed borrowers and contractors as well as from individuals who are convicted or being investigated on corruption charges. It will also reject donations from any individual convicted of criminal offense.
Likewise, the Naya Shakti has announced to reject donations from the firms, institutions or companies, which are registered in foreign lands, black-listed as borrowers or contractors as well as which have 51 percent of share of foreign governments or have religious and communal goals.
According to Naya Shakti campaigner Rameshwar Khanal, they will accept donations of more than Rs 10,000 only through checks and will run the donation weeks twice in a year. They have also claimed that the list of donors would be published on their website every six months with all details.
However, he said that the names of those donors, who want anonymity due to security reasons, will not be published on the website but will be provided to the concerned authorities or agencies as per the law.
