KATHMANDU, Sept 12: The newly appointed Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) Rajendra Chhetri has asked all its rank-and-file troops to remain alert against the possible threats to national security amid an increasingly volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous situation in the country.

In his first address after formally assuming the office of the commander-in-chief of Nepal Army, CoAS Chhetri has said that the tendency of putting ethnic and regional interests ahead of national interests could undermine territorial integrity, social harmony and national unity.
