The inner space of the museum was crammed with more than 300 people making the event a huge success.[break]
Shakya, a musician and performer, managed to exceed everyone’s expectation for he was a ball of energy while he performed with band members of Kutumba.
The merging of the bands gave the audience a taste of blues, rock and the traditional taste all at the same show.
Rubin Shrestha on flute, Raju Maharjan and Prajwal Kansakar on percussion, Kiran Nepali on Sarangi, Inap Shrestha on alto sax and David Nicolas on trumpet produced rhythmical magic at this musical extravaganza.

Sunit Kansakar was on guitar/sitar, Rohan Kansakar on bass, Rabindra Shrestha on drums and Mukti Shakya on vocal and guitar.
The merging of these musical geniuses created an enchantment that enlivened the museum.
Dalli Resham, Chiso Chiso Hawama, Kati Kura and an instrumental of ‘Om Jai Jagadish,’ were among the few songs Shakya performed.
Listening to the numbers was an exhilarating affair for the audience for, along with the mesmerizing voice of Shakya, all the songs were accompanied by traditional instruments on stage.
Tribute to Arun Thapa, where the maestro crooned ‘saanjhako jun sangai’ was easily the show stealer.
Almost when the show was nearing towards its end, Shakya raised the temperature all over again. “Here comes a typical Mukti Shakya,” he announced and the crowd could not help but scream with joy. Shakya then performed ‘Chaubandi Cholo’ and the audiences joined him.
The event was jointly organized by Hits FM 91.2 and House of Music as a part of their series Music by the Museum.
