BIRATNAGAR, Feb 7: Morang Trade Association (MTA) has sought help of a US delegation led by World Learning, which also includes American senators, in finding unrestricted access for Nepali goods in the US market.

During a meeting Tuesday, Abinash Bohara, president of the MTA, urged the delegation to work as goodwill ambassadors in promoting Nepali goods and tourism sites of eastern Nepal in the US market.[break]

He also urged the delegation to lobby for waiver in customs duties on imports of Nepali garments and textiles.

The seven-member delegation, led by Amanda Bischowping of World Learning, said it would raise the issue of providing tax concessions to Nepali goods in the Congress.

The delegation also said it would help the MTA establish relationship with chambers of commerce in the US so that both could share information on trade.
