The tripper (Ba 3 Kha 3089) hit the motorbike (Ba 53 Pa 1374) at Chittapole area of the highway in Surya Binayak Municipality – 10 killing Sagar Karki, 24, of the same locality.
The locals who were enraged by the incident vandalized two parked trippers. The relatives of the deceased obstructed the highway for at least two hours and demanded action against the tripper driver along with suitable compensation.
Buddhi Karmi, 44, of Mangaltaar, Kavre, who was driving the tripper that hit the bike, is currently under police control, said Superintendent of Police, Kiran Bajracharya of the Metropolitan Police Range Office, Bhaktapur.
Regular transportation in the Araniko highway resumed from 12 at noon. RSS
