Monsoon winds lose strength; no heavy rainfall likely in the country

KATHMANDU, Sept 27: The influence of monsoon winds across the country is currently weak, with partial influence of local winds, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD). 



The skies are expected to be generally cloudy in the hilly regions, while other areas will be partly cloudy this afternoon. The division has reported a possibility of moderate rainfall in some hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and in a few places in other areas, the MFD said.

By nightfall, the hilly regions of Koshi province and the rest of the provinces will be partly cloudy, with mainly clear weather in other areas. The MFD reports that moderate rainfall is likely in some hilly parts in Koshi province and the rest of the provinces.
