Mobile dealers entice visitors with new launches, attractive discounts

KATHMANDU, Jan 29: Dealers of different mobile handset manufacturers are launching new sets and announcing attractive offers during the ongoing Explore Asia CAN Info-Tech 2012 to cater to consumers interested in trying latest gadgets with cutting edge technology.



Call Mobility - the authorized distributors of G´Five mobile phones for Nepal - has announced an attractive scheme under which it is giving a Motorola handset and 4 GB memory card free with every purchase of G´Five E620 mobile phone worth Rs 4,700. [break]



The company has already sold more than 200 G´Five E620. It also launched two new handsets G´Five SH 800 and HT 5000 during the Info-Tech. Both the sets cost Rs 4,600 each. Call Mobility sells wide range of G´Five handsets that are priced between Rs 1,800 and Rs 9,500.



Call Mobility is soon introducing Huawei phones for the first time in Nepali market. “We will start selling Huawei phones from our new showroom at New Road within a month. These phones use Android software and have cloud+ features,” said Sabina Maharjan of Call Mobility.



Similarly, Mobile Bazar, Chabahil - the authorized dealer of Neoteric Nepal - introduced Nokia Asha 300 and Asha 200 during the Info-Tech. Neoteric Nepal is one of the authorized distributors of Nokia phones for Nepal.



While Asha 300 is priced at Rs 10,370, Asha 200 costs Rs 7,700. Mobile Bazar is giving away 2 GB memory free with every purchase of these handsets.



“We found most of the visitors interested in dual-SIM phones priced in range of Rs 6,000 to Rs 10,000,” said Shyam Bajracharya, assistant sales manager of Mobile Bazar.



Neoteric Nepal is offering up to Rs 1,500 discounts on every purchase of Nokia mobile phones.



Likewise, Prism Technology has launched latest range of Lava mobile phones in the Nepali market. “We have launched KKT39 and KKT50 that are priced Rs 5,500 and Rs 6,000 respectively,” Ashmita Singh Pun, service head of the company, said.



Prism Technology is offering 5 percent discount and a T-shire free of cost with Lava phones.



Computer Association of Nepal (CAN) - the organizer of the event -- had declared Sunday as the ´business day´. Chinese ambassador to Nepal Yang Houlan was among the high profile personalities that visited the Info-Tech on the day.
