KATHMANDU, Oct 13: Skipper Anil Gurung scored four goals as Laxmi Hyundai Manang Marshyangdi Club (MMC) hammered Ranipokhari Corner Team (RCT) 6-1 to lift first Ncell Cup at Dasharath stadium on Saturday.
MMC took the lead in the seventh minute of the tournament with a goal from Gurung. He added three more goals in the 17th, 28th and 82nd minutes. [break]
Mbile Stephen of MMC chipped in with a goal in the 9th minute while Sabindra Shrestha added a goal in the 88th minute.
Olawale Afeez scored the consolation goal for RCT in the extra time of the first half.
With the win, MMC bagged a cash prize Rs 1.5 million, a largest amount in the history of Nepali football.
