DHANGADI, JAN 6: Locals have rescued a fourteen-year-old boy found engulfed in fire at a forest in Geta VDC in Kailali district on Sunday evening.



A child named Rajesh was found burning in flames at around 4 pm in the Martyr Bhim Dutta Panta community forest. Locals rescued him after they heard him yelling out in pain. The child has been sent to Seti Zonal Hospital for further treatment. He has sustained critical burn injuries. [break]



Locals claim somebody might have set the boy on fire. However, Ghanashyam Aryal, Superintendent of Police (SP) in Kailali, said investigation into the case was underway. “We are investigating to find whether the child set himself on fire or there is someone involved," Aryal added.



The full name and address of the victim is yet to be ascertained.



The child had been working in a shop of an Indian national Ghuddu Royal at Geta VDC for the past few months.
