Minister Yadav assumes office

KATHMANDU, May 7: Newly-appointed Minister for Information and Communication Raj Kishore Yadav has directed the civil servants to work with a commitment to do something for prosperous future and nation building.



Assuming his office on Monday at the Ministry, the newly-appointed minister made such remark directing the officials of the Ministry of Communication and Information and other officials under the Ministry.[break]



Minister Yadav was sworn in as the Minister for Information and Communication on Saturday.



He directed the officials to work to incorporate all sides in the historical process of nation building.



On the occasion, Minister Yadav urged the officials to help support in the Ministry´s works.



Yadav, who is also Officiating Chairman of Madhesi Janadhikar Forum-Republican, expressed his confidence to manage the possible political pressures while executing the works adding that he was ready to extend full supports in all works in the capacity of minister.



Stressing the collective efforts to end ongoing political transition, Minister Yadav said that future of next generation would be secured provided that we tackle the present political transition successfully.



Welcoming the newly-appointed Minister, Secretary at the Ministry Abanindra Kumar Shrestha wished for a successful tenure and expressed confidence to work together for overall development of information and communication sector in the country.



Earlier too, Yadav was the Minister for Information and Communication in the Baburam Bhattarai-led majority government.
