A selection committee constituted by Hydro Nepal Journal selected him for the Award for his outstanding initiation and determined efforts for hydropower development and energy efficiency for overall enhancement of energy sector in Nepal. [break]
“In a very short period of about three months, Mr. Bista has initiated several positive measures to improve the conditions of appalling situation in power sector in Nepal. Even though his initiation is yet to show the results, his positive steps towards the targets have been welcomed by many,” the Hydro Nepal Journal stated in a press release announcing the nomination for the award on Sunday.
The Hydro Nepal Excellence Award is established to honour a person or institution for outstanding contribution in the field of water, energy and environment. Minister Bista will be presented with a Letter of Appreciation and a Trophy amidst a function.
