´President lacks time for NVA´
NVA has been introducing new programs every year but has been unble to continue them. NVA had introduced National League and Inter Municipality Volleyball Tournament two years ago but could not give them continuity.
“We have been unable to bring our plans and programs into action. After we got elected in the executive committee four years ago, we have been busy digging up past mistakes,” said NVA Vice-president Gajendra Tamli Limbu. “We hope we will be able to bring our plans into action in the coming years,” he added.
Meanwhile, NVA Central Regional Committee President Madhav KC said NVA President Ganga Bahadur Thapa himself does not have time for his duties in the association.
“The president is the person in the driving seat. If the volleyball fraternity feels that he is too slow for us, the upcoming general assembly can elect a new committee,” said NVA vice president Tamang as reporters asked one after another question about the diminishing popularity of volleyball and NVA´s failure.
President Thapa was not present at the press conference.
