CA chairman Subas Nembang had decided to scrap membership of the Yadav duo upon the recommendation of the CA Business Advisory Committee on December 28.
In the writ filed at the SC, they have argued that they did not defect from the Maoist party and hence the decision to scrap their membership is against the CA regulations. The Yadav duo instead claimed that others who defected from the CPN Maoist had formed UCPN (Maoist) after uniting with the CPN-Unity Center (Masal) last year.
Both were elected as CPN (Maoist) candidates under the proportional seats.
