Massive wildfire near Tamghas

PALPA, April 27: A forest fire that broke out in the Resunga forest adjacent fo Gulmi´s headquarters of Tamghas on Monday evening has spread to over 500 hectares of the forest, according to District Forest Office (DFO).



The wildfire has put the pilgrimage area of Resunga at risk.



Army, police, DFO staff and locals were working to douse the fire from Tuesday morning. But the wildfire is out of control, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Padam Prasad Subedi.
