Maoists obstruct VDC activities

DANG, Mar 9: All the activities of Bela Village Development Committee have been affected after Maoist cadres padlocked its office two weeks ago.



Due to the Maoist obstruction, VDC board meeting scheduled for last Sunday couldn´t take place.



Maoist padlocked the VDC office after dispute over the selection process of local development projects. Moist said it won´t allow the VDC run smoothly till the decisions are revoked.



Other political parties have asked the Maoist to come to the negotiation table and to stop obstructing the VDC activities.
