CHITAWAN, March 21: Nepali Congress (NC) parliamentary party leader Ram Chandra Paudel has accused the ruling party UCPN (Maoist) of betraying other political parties.

He also accused the Maoist of conspiring to create division between the NC and CPN (UML).

Addressing a program on the occasion of the memory of late Girija Prasad Koirala at Ratanagar, Chitwan, on Monday, he labeled Maoist leaders as ´betrayer´ adding that the former rebel leaders had expertise in betraying others.[break]

"Maoists betrayed Girija Prasad Koirala who led the peace process and at present the Maoists are again deceiving other leaders when it comes to taking the peace process ahead," Paudel said.

He also came down heavily against UML and Maoist leaders for signing a secret seven-point deal just ahead of prime ministerial election.

"The seven-point agreement is yet another move to betray other parties," he said, "We can´t forge any consensus without correcting it."
