He handed over the amount to the owner Rana Bahadur Tamang of Simalchour-8, Dandakateri at a local teashop in Lamichanegaun Saturday morning after Tamang had reached the village in search of his lost money.

Lamichhane went to the teashop after hearing that someone had come in search of the money. The bag also contained Tamang´s passport. Tamang, who had returned home after working for three years in Qatar, was scheduled to fly to Dubai in a few days to work as a cook.

He had borrowed Rs 300,000 in loan from a bank in Banepa and had withdrawn Rs 284,000.

He was riding pillion on a motorcycle while returning to Banepa after giving Rs 56,000 to his mother Kanchhimaya in Dandakateri. "He came as my savior. I could not have flown to Dubai this year if he had not returned the money," Tamang said.
