Twenty-seven-year-old Gobinda Singh Dhami, who got enraged after a domestic dispute when the family refused his proposal to marry the sister-in-law, shot 20-year-old wife Mana Dhami and 18-year-old sister-in-law Surmati Thagunna. [break]
He fired twice in the chest of Thagunna who was collecting forage in a field on Thursday morning. He returned home and then turned the gun on his wife. He fired twice on his wife as well. He also injured his mother and daughter before turning the gun on himself.
Three different teams of the police reached the village on Thursday while another team from the district police office left for the village on Friday to probe into the incident.
