POKHARA, May 27: Shiva Bahadur Thapa Magar, 49, drowned while swimming in the Mardi Khola, Kaski on Sunday. Thapa was a permanent resident of Anand Thanti, Ribhaan, Machhapuchhre Rural Municipality-5, Kask.

According to Kaski police, Thapa’s body was retrieved from the river at 4:45 PM. A team from the temporary police post in Bhedabari had been deployed to conduct the search operation.
