Man dies as pilgrims swept away

SINDHULIMADHI, July 29: A man died after being swept away by the Kamala River at Ratanpur, Hatpate VDC-4, Sindhuli district.



Two pilgrims have been missing after they were also swept away by the river.



The deceased has not been identified but he is about 27 years old with physical features resembling a man from the Tarai. The identity of the missing is also not known.



The District Police Office, Sindhuli said the three men had come for offering worship at Madhuganga Mahadev temple at Hatpate VDC-1 and they were swept away while crossing the Kamala river from near Ratanpur.



The body of the youth was found at Gijiyani, Hatpate VDC-9 this morning. Police said a search is on for finding the missing men.
