In the first match played at Institute of Engineering, Pulchowk, Kaski was invited to bat first and scored 197 runs for the loss five wickets in 20 overs. [break]
Lok Bahadhur Thapa scored 56 runs while Sujan Karki scored 28 runs for Kaski. Ram Prasad Poudel grabbed three wickets while Shree Prashad Ghimire and Ravi Poudel took a wicket each for Lumbini.
Lumbini successfully chased the target of 198 in 16 overs without losing a wicket. Man-of-the-match Khima Nanada Gaire scored 88 runs while Sunil Chhetri scored 58 runs.
In another match, Chitwan was invited to bat first and scored 192 runs losing five wickets. Surya Thapa scored 28 runs and Bed Raj Poudel scored 24 runs. Durga Khadka took two wickets while man-of-the-match Birendra Kunwar grabbed three wickets for Banke.
Banke successfully chased the target in 16 overs losing six wickets. Kunwar scored 24 runs while Naire Thapa scored 15 runs. Poudel took two wickets while Suman Ghimire and Indra Gaudel grabbed one wicket each.
According to the president of Nepal Blind Cricket Association, Pawan Ghimire, the tournament has been organized as the preliminary selection for Blind T20 World Cup 2012 scheduled for November 3 in Bangalore, India. 28 players will be selected in the first round and the final 14 will be picked up later.
