According to Chief of the Project, Rajeev Sharma, locals on Monday obstructed construction of the drain and retaining wall at the project site.
The retaining wall is being constructed to prevent further landslide above the residential quarters of the project. The works have been started at an investment of Rs. 10 million.
Sharma further said they are providing Rs. 1.6 million to 17 households that suffered losses due to the landslide. The landslide occurred while carrying out the construction works on the building. The construction works of the residential quarters was started last year.
The project has requested the local administration and political parties to resolve the problem after the locals started obstructing the construction works.
The project said that an administrative and political mechanism is to be formed to remove the current and possible obstructions.
