Chairman of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry in the district Krishna Prasad Shrestha said it was a shameful act to cut power against the public announcement.
Normal life in the district was affected after the business activities were dwindled by the sudden increase on load-shedding hours, he added.
Leaders of seven political parties, UCPN (Maoist), Nepali Congress, CPN-UML, CPN-Maoist, Rastriya Janamorcha, CPN (Unified), and Janamukti Party, held a meeting in Sandhikharka, the district headquarters and warned of stern protest if the district was not made load shedding free within the mid January.
