DHARAN, Jan 23: The Federal Limbuwan State Council struggling in the east has objected to the concept of 14 federal states made public by the CA State Restructuring Committee.

It objected to the proposed states saying the committee distorted the maps and demarcation with conspiracy, which could have been made on the basis of historical background.

Chairman of the council, Kumar Lingden, said the Sherpa, Kirant, Maithil, Bhojpura and Koch and Madhes were inserted by encroaching upon the historical mapping of the Limbuwan.

The council is firm on the stance that the nine districts east of Sankhuwa-Arun-Saptakoshi are in the historical demarcation of the Limbuwan.

However, the Kirant Yakthum Chumlung welcomed the proposal, but objected to the demarcation.

Likewise, the Nepal Tamang National Federation has also objected to the making of Narayani and Sunkoshi states by breaking the Tamsaling terrotory and demanded amendment.
