Speaking at a programme organized on the 16th memorial day of Tulsilal Amatya in the capital city on Thursday, senior leader of the CPN-UML, Madhav Kumar Nepal said late Tulsilal had wanted unity among the communist parties, so it was time for the communists to forge unity based on ideology, style of working and organization.
There was no alternative for the country to hold constituent assembly elections on the slated time, he said, adding that country needs to be federated based on multi-ethnic identities.[break]
Similarly, UCPN-Maoist leader Narayan Kaji Shrestha said that the communists had dominated the Nepali politics so their unity could bring social change in the country.
About the national politics, he urged the dissenting CPN-Maoist to hold talks without setting pre-conditions.
On the occasion, Chairman of the Rastriya Janamorcha Nepal, Chitra Bahadur KC, warned that if the country failed to hold CA elections on the slated time, we would see bigger crisis.
Presenting a working paper, Chairman of Tulsilal Memorial Foundation, Keshav Badal, said that the working people must be free in terms of social, economic and cultural hurdles.
