During a meeting of the Committee held Friday, the lawmakers said the government should take special initiative for getting transportation services in an easy and accessible manner as per the international practice for being a landlocked country.
The Committee has also directed the government for speedy and effective implementation of the agreement on vehicles operation under the commerce and supplies treaty between Nepal and India.
Lawmakers Rajan Bhattarai, Chudamani Jangali, Pemba Lama, Ramchandra Saha Teli and others urged the government to make the process of vehicles' flow systematic by considering the country's norms and values.
Furthermore, the meeting also directed the ministries concerned to take lead for the implementation of the decision in regard to making the transportation services easier with other member states of the SAARC region.
Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Bimalendra Nidhi and Minister for Commerce and Supplies Sunil Bahadur Thapa responded to the queries of the lawmakers. RSS
