The 12th time Minister before and after the 1990's popular democratic movement passed away on June 10 in course of treatment at the Thapathali-based Norvic International Hospital in the capital. He was 76.
RPP-N parallel committee's general secretary Ramu Rai has said the demise of leader Lawati has inflicted an irreparable loss to the country. The party has decided to lower the party flag at half-mast for 13 subsequent days to mourn the death of leader Lawati.
A contingent of the Armed Police Force paid a salute to the late leader.
