Chief of Saptari Police Bhog Bahadur Thapa said the team led by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Sanjeev Sharma rescued the boy, abducted on February 21, from a house where he was locked in, with help of locals and Indian Police.[break]
DSP Sharma, refusing to reveal the identity of the house owner, said the raid was conducted following a tip-off and no one except the boy was found at the site.
Inspector at the District Police Office, Rajbiraj, Bhuwaneshwar Sah said two persons, apprehended in connection to the abduction, would be made public through a press conference Tuesday.
Ayush, a nursery student, was abducted while returning home from school. The abductors, who demanded a ransom of Rs five million from the family initially, reduced the amount to Rs 1.5 million later.
The boy´s father, abroad on foreign employment, had returned home a week ago to free his son.
