Khanal, Dahal discuss budget

KATHMANDU, June 22: UCPN (Maoist) Chairman, Pushpa Kamal Dahal met with Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal at the latter’s residence in Baluwatar on Wednesday morning.



During the meeting the duo agreed to intensify parleys with opposition parties, expedite implementation of the five-point deal and bring the peace process to its logical end.[break]



It has been learned that the duo also discussed the upcoming budget soon to be presented by the government in the legislative parliament, constitution drafting, peace process and action plans of the government.



Maoist Vice-Chairman Narayan kaji Shrestha, informed that the meeting discussed the pre-budget, government strategies, action plans and ways to expedite the peace process amongst other issues.



Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bharat Mohan Adhikary along with  Narayan Kaji Shrestha, PM Khanal and Dahal were present at the meeting.
