Judicial custody for rape accused cop

JANAKPUR, April 20: Dhanusha District Court has ordered sub inspector Babu Ram Jha, who has been accused of raping a newly wed Indian bride last month, into judicial custody.



Safina Khatun had filed the case accusing Jha of raping her inside a police post last month.



Janakpur remained tense for four days after the incident as police used force to control the demonstrations injuring dozens of people including many journalists.
