Singh was shot from backside near a canal at Jaitapur village in Rupaidiaya, an Indian border area, as he was riding on a motorcycle.
He sustained a bullet injury in his left arm and is undergoing treatment at a health center in India.
According to the Banke District Police Office, investigation into the incident is on.
