JANAKPUR, March 5: Demanding action against those involved in the killing of one of his party cadres, spokesperson of the Pawan-led Janatantrik Tarai Mukti Morcha (JTMM-Pawan) Sanjay Gupta staged fast-unto-death three days ago in Janakpur.
Gupta, who is also the leader of the Tarai-based armed outfit´s team to hold peace negotiations with the government, told journalists that police shot dead JTMM-Pawan cadre, Rambali Chouhan, in Bhairahawa on February 26. Accusing Superintendent of Police Prakash Aryal, Gupta has demanded relieving of Aryal from his job.

Gupta said the government violated a five-point code of conduct his party signed with the government on December 26 during the first round of peace talks held in Janakpur.
Meanwhile, about two dozen JTMM-Pawan cadres detained in Jaleshwar Prison started on Thursday a three-day relay hunger strike, demanding with the government to implement the points agreed last year, according to Gupta.
