Five-star hotel Fulbari Resort in Pokhara has unveiled special festive package for Dashain and Deepawali. [break]
The package costs Rs 6,999 per person for Nepali and Rs 7,499 for resident expatriates and includes daily buffet breakfast and one festive dinner.
Pabitra Basnet, sales executive of the resort, said clients under the package are also entitled to a daily fruit basket and 20 percent discount on extra meal and beverages and amenities like Sauna, Golf and Jacuzzi.
Jungle Safari Lodge, Chitwan has also introduced a budget package of Rs 4,444 per person on twin sharing basis. The two nights and three days package offers three meals a day, jungle walk, elephant ride, cultural program and others.
Suman Ghimire, director sales of Jungle Safari Lodge, said although the occupancy level at hotel is well above 80 percent and the package is limited to some rooms. "Since this is a peak season for foreigners, only some rooms are available but this offer is to encourage Nepalis for traveling," he said. The package is valid from September 15 to October 15.
Yogendra Thapa, sales and marketing director of Hotel Barahi, Pokhara, said that the enquiries are better than the previous year. "Number of domestic tourists is also high during this season and in recent years it has significantly gone up," he told Republica.
He added that the "Jaun Hai Pokhara Campaign" and moderate weather of Pokhara was still attracting a large number local travelers during the festive season.
Hotel Barahi, a three-star hotel, has introduced a package for a couple at Rs 9,999. The package is inclusive of accommodation for two nights and three days with two meals a day. Thapa said that the package also includes one hour boating and half-day sight seeing.
