Industrialists, workers protest against power cut at industries in Rupandehi

They criticized the NEA’s move as unilateral and impractical.

RUPANDEHI, Oct 30: Industrialists and workers in Rupandehi took to the streets on Thursday after the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) cut power to 13 industries for failing to pay their outstanding dues for a long time.



They criticized the NEA’s move as unilateral and impractical.

Workers participating in the protests warned that shutting down industries would worsen the employment crisis. They raised slogans such as “Keep the industries running, save our jobs” during the demonstrations.
