The fair is scheduled for May 14 and 15 at The Everest Hotel, New Baneshwor, Kathmandu.[break]
“Students who have just completed their high school are looking for better options to pursue further studies. In order to cater to them, the fair will provide opportunities to know about universities and colleges in India, London and Bangladesh that they can apply to,” said Rajesh Chapagain, coordinator for Indo Global Education Fair.
The admissions directors and professors from most universities participating in the fair will also be present as representatives where they will share details about the application process, scholarships and fee structure along with additional information pertaining to the universities and colleges with all those attending.

“Students from all over Nepal will thus have direct access to authentic first-hand information from the representatives and can make an informed decision about their future career path,” he said.
Chapagain further elaborated, “Professor Avinash Singh from India will be speaking on the current trend in education, highlighting aspects on choosing career options and will encourage future generation to acquire skills and competence needed to cope with fast changing phase of modern life during the fair on both days.”
He also mentioned that every year thousands of students from Nepal are in search of better educational opportunities and India is fast becoming a popular destination for them offering various field of studies due to easy access, cultural, religious and geographical proximity with Nepal.
“So the main focus of the fair is on the universities of India and also a few from UK and Bangladesh,” said Chapagain.
Some of the universities participating in the fair are Hindustan University of Chennai, North London College of Business Studies, London, ASA University of Bangladesh, and SRM University of Chennai.
The education fair will comprise of 44 stalls representing various educational institutions exhibiting under the same roof. More than 37 colleges and universities from India and Bangladesh are participating.
“The fair will have India’s rank holder universities coming to Nepal to interact with large number of students and parents so that they can gain an understanding of the educational systems in India and its recognition in the international arena.
So this is an apt platform for students to get information on colleges and also meet other students, teachers and professionals with similar interests,” Chapagain added.
The fair is open to all and starts at 10am and goes on to 6pm.
