Indian national nabbed with illegal foreign currencies

KATHMANDU, March 19: An Indian national has been arrested from the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) with huge cache of illegal foreign currencies.

Police identifies the arrestee as Manoharlal Kripaldas Asodani, 57, holding passport number Z2328013.


Asodani was nabbed during checking while he was leaving for Hong Kong though Dragon Air on Wednesday.

According to police, he had hidden Rs. 20,000, USD 171,800, Japanese Yen 558,000, Hong Kong Dollar 1,510, Euro 180, Australian Dollar 80, Pound Sterling 250, Philippine Peso 103, and IRS 9,500 inside his coat cover.
