Chinnappa carded four-over 74 in the final round on Tuesday for a three-day total of 10-over 220 at the par-70 Himalayan Golf Course, Pokhara. He finished six strokes ahead of Sri Lankan Arumugam Masanam. Masanam submitted a card of eight-over 78 on the final day for a 54-hole total of 16-over 226. [break]
Chinnappa carded three-over 38 on the front nine and one-over 36 on the back nine on Tuesday. He shot birdies on the second and 15th holes but suffered bogeys on the eighth and ninth holes and double bogeys on the fourth and 14th holes.
Masanam carded a birdie on the second hole against bogeys on the fourth and sixth holes to finish the front nine at one-over 36. However, he faltered on the back nine and finished it at seven-over 42 as he suffered bogeys on the 11th, 12th, 13th, 15th and 18th holes and a double bogey on the 14th hole.
Lakhan Singh of Delhi Golf Society finished third in the tournament with a total score of 229. He carded nine-over 79 on the final day.

Another Indian golfer Samarth Dwivedi finished in the fourth position with a total score of 231. Nepal No 2 Dinesh Prajapati and Mohammad Liton shared the fifth position with the total scores of 22-over 232. Tshendra Dorji of Bhutan finished seventh at 236 while Ashish Pariyar of Nepal and Chanaka Perera of Sri Lanka shared the eighth position at 237. Three Nepali golfers -- Ramesh Gurung, Tirtha Paudel and Sunil KC -- were tied for the 10th position with the total scores of 28-over 238.
Pokhara´s local golfer Ramesh Gurung, the overall leader of the first round, became the winner in the nett section. Playing with nine-handicap allowances, Gurung carded 71, 84 and 83 respectively in the three-day tournament for a nett score of one-over 211.
Dinesh Prajapati, who played with five-handicap allowances, came second at 217. Shankar Baniya finished third at 218.
Earlier, Chinnappa and Dwivedi had teamed up for India in the team event of the tournament and lifted the title with a 36-hole total of 305 on Monday.
Sri Lankan team of Masanam and Chanaka Perera had finished second on count back, leaving behind the Delhi Golf Society team of Lakhan Singh and Prince Kajotia.
Western Regional Administrator Suman Prasad Sharma, Nepal Golf Association (NGA) President Madhukar Yakthumba, General Secretary of Mountain Sports Federation Govinda Bhattarai, NGA Vice-presidents Prachanda Bahadur Shrestha and PB Rai, and NGA General Secretary Tashi Ghale handed over the prizes to the winners.
Altogether eight teams and 47 individual golfers had participated in the tournament organized by Nepal Golf Association under the Mountain Sports Festival. The tournament was sponsored by Surya Nepal Pvt Ltd.
